“It’s a continuing challenge for most business owners and managers”
Bombarded by brokers, offering all manner of reductions on their energy bills, but essentially all trying to solve the problem the same way.
Reducing your tariff, the rate you pay per kWh of energy used.
Whilst this can have some impact, the FAR more effective route is to reduce your energy consumption, then look at your tariff(s).
Which is where we come in.
We work with forward-looking businesses that want to both improve their operation’s energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption, without impacting performance.
If that’s you, read on (or simply drop your details here to arrange a quick chat)…
The assessor will analyse all aspects of your commercial building’s energy usage and energy efficiency performance.
But not all audits are created equal…
A comprehensive self-funding* energy audit provides the information and clarity needed to enable this, and is the first step in a simple four-step process to access not only significant savings far beyond the impact of a tariff reduction, but also to help you stay on the right side of forthcoming legislation that targets inefficient business energy consumers.
“The main aim of an energy audit is to identify significant opportunities for business energy savings, both in volume and in cost”
Optimising the energy efficiency of existing and new buildings and plant is the number one opportunity for cutting energy costs and reducing carbon emissions.
Done properly, savings in the order of 20 – 50% can be achieved with commercially attractive paybacks.
However, it is not easy to get right.
It’s as essential to correctly identify and prioritise what NOT to do, as it is what to do, at the outset. Seemingly obvious solutions are often seriously suboptimal, or even make matters worse, if the underlying causes are not properly understood.
“This is where we can really help you monetise the opportunity the audit presents”
Not only do we provide a far-reaching, in-depth audit, but also a comprehensive panel of funders that can provide funding for our recommendations, meaning (in most cases), you can enjoy the benefits of the efficiencies & savings we identify and enable without paying a single penny in capex.
Working with businesses throughout the UK, we use a simple four-step model:
- Visit site, discuss the business operation and requirements, and carry out a site audit
- Submit and discuss the measures recommended. An energy audit report is written following the completion of the energy survey. The energy audit report will summarise the findings from the energy survey and discuss access to capex funding where appropriate.
- Once agreed, we arrange installation of measures and provision of relevant funding
- Client starts to benefit from immediate savings on energy costs, often as high as 40%
*The site audit carries a charge.
To-date, 100% – every single business we’ve audited – has had this fee refunded as a function of taking the measures we recommend.
Energy audits are arranged at a time to suit your business and, depending on your company’s requirements, can be planned for varying levels of detail.
Energy audits are now an essential tool for businesses looking to reduce energy consumption, improve the energy efficiency of their sites, identify energy waste and ultimately, significantly reduce the annual utility spend of the business.
A commercial building energy audit is provided for a single building, or multi-site energy audit to survey the buildings in the entire business property portfolio, as appropriate.
Our energy audit can also include an infrared survey. This allows us to identify areas of heat loss within the property or within specific equipment, a common cause of energy inefficiency and cost.
Our energy audit reports are extremely useful for understanding how the business can save energy and save money
